Our biggest hurdle was helping people understand that they didn’t need to actually read one of their tweets or status updates, but that they were participating in a live update to the world. Ha! I forgot how awesome this was!!! This was awesome! I think the best out loud tweet of the night was from the guy who said “It’s hard to soar with the eagles when you’re surrounded by turkeys.” I was slightly moved, as much as a twitter status is capable of moving someone.
To me, this event illustrated just how ridiculous the twitter concept is. Rarely do individuals shout out loud exactly what they are doing at the moment into the universe, but we do it online everyday. Twittering out loud attaches a face to the Tweeter and makes it more personal.
Next time we need to figure out TwitPics in an out-loud fashion.
PS, A big Tweet out loud to my little sister for thinking up this idea and “twittering out loud” during family trips to LA.
